Want tickets to the book launch party & signing on May 8th in NY? Click here!
We've been sitting on this one for a while now, so we're so thrilled to finally announce it.
Save Yourself, Mammal!, the first ever compilation of Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal comics, will be debuting in April as a Breadpig-published title!
This is unbelievably awesome for a couple of reasons:
- SMBC is one of the best webcomics in the whole world, and it will look SO COOL in print!
- We're giving away all the profits on Save Yourself, Mammal! to DonorsChoose, Stephen Colbert and Reddit's favorite nonprofit. We're looking forward to funding lots of cool science projects that will help today's children grow up to become tomorrow's scientists.
- We get to throw a launch party!
We're still working on the date, but it'll be May-ish and somewhere in New York. If you're in the area, you won't want to miss this. In addition to an hour-long Q&A with Zach himself, there will also be an auction of one-of-a-kind SMBC merchandise! As with the book, all proceeds go towards DonorsChoose, so any money you spend is literally for science and for the children. Take that, Wu Tang!
We'll announce more details here and on the Eventbrite as they are finalized; in the meantime, just be as excited as we are!
I’m with the others – where’s the preorder button? So thrilled to hear that this is being created!
Are there going to be all 2000-something strips in here?
I never buy print collections of webcomics because the scrooge in me always whispers “it’s free online.” However, not only is SMBC my favorite webcomic, but the fact that all the proceeds are donated has me already asking “where is the preorder button?” As a teacher that regularly uses donorschoose to support my classroom, I just have to say that you can’t even realize how instrumental donorschoose is for low-income schools. Thank you so much for choosing to donate all the proceeds to such a necessary charity. I’ll be telling everyone I know to buy one!
I’m a teacher at a science centered school and have benefitted from a grant from DonorsChoose.com. It’s amazing how Zach Weiner can take math, science, and more and make it funny (and raise questions) — and guess what? Students learn from humor! Thank you for being so thoughtful with the proceeds, good to see successful artists giving back to educational communities. Woot!
Simply amazing!
Been a fan since the beginning…
