Breadpig Blog: Purveyor & Publisher of All Things Geek — The Breadpig Legion
The Greatest 3 Words: "was named BreadPig"
Posted by admin on
The breadpig is quite pleased: email from the SF SPCAA 2 yr old, black and white cat entered the shelter today and was named "BreadPig". We have only done the physical exam so far, pictures and write ups to follow. The breadpig legion grew one feline stronger today. Alas, the folks at the SF SPCA won't be able to enjoy little BreadPig's company for too long, as she'll undoubtedly be adopted the instant someone lays eyes on her. More on this developing story to come...
Kicking Off A Cat's Modeling Career With The LOLmagnetz Case

Cat's sinister mustache not photoshopped Back in April, when we were assembling the first order of LOLmagnetz, breadpig had to rush together some cover art for the sticker adorning the case. My cat back home looked much too sinister for such a joyful product. (See picture on right.) Breadpig hadn't heard of Hawty McBloggy until today, but that all changed with this recent post on the awesomeness of magnets. It made us wonder if he's any good with the sniper rifle. If you are anything like me, your refrigerator is a hub for all things Halo. Maybe you keep track of your virtual gaming events on small scraps of paper that are randomly strewn across the freezer section. Perhaps you print out your more impressive game stats and place them strategically amidst the LOLMagnetz. We're dying to know, does Master Chief ever speak in LOL? It sounds like...
Joel Spolsky Shows The Breadpig Band Some Love

And it was on the stackoverflow podcast of all places! Give the episode a listen and if you're feeling lazy, skip ahead to around 13minutes in. Then be sure to check out Stackoverflow if you consider yourself any kind of developer. Even I can appreciate its coolness. Steve and I would love to be on the podcast, Joel (and Jeff). The breadpig is not afraid of interviews, I'll do my best to represent the breaded swine with honor and dignity.
Yesterday Was Apparently "Breadpig Day" At Wired

The intrepid Mme. Helena R. Brown campaigned for a "breadpig day" at the Wired office on Thursday. The result was a bunch of us in breadpig shirts (David was, too, but had just cast invisibility when the picture was taken) and a lot of confused Wired employees. Thanks for making my day, everyone.
