Breadpig Brings Public LOLart To The Mission, Public LOLart Stolen Within 24 Hours
Posted by admin on
After failing to appear at the LOLart show, breadpig needed to share the gift of LOL. A public art show seemed like just the thing. And there's no better location than the BART stop at 16th and Mission. Or so I thought. The hope was that commuters would admire the existing LOL, but also feel compelled to improve on it. Such is the power of magnetic LOLspeak. LOLs would rise, crime and suffering would plummet, and society would rejoice. This was not the case. Instead of returning every morning to document a new community-generated (as in, the Mission) LOLmasterpiece, I...
LOLmagnetz Epic Fail At LOLartshow

Thanks to our ally and Brawndo-maker, Pete, we had a fantastic set of three steel plates adorned with cat imagery. The plan was to bring it to the LOLartshow being hosted by I can has. Alas, I evidently can't read a map, so the breadpig was thwarted and the LOLmagnetz art piece never got delivered. Undeterred, I still wanted to get this viewer-manipulated art out to the public. And that's where the 16th St. Mission BART stop comes in...
Attention All Cylons: Breadpig Has A New Ally Against You - The Electronic Frontier Foundation

As is the case with all breadpig projects, all the profits go to a worthy charity. Ideally, the breadpig can find a non-profit with objectives related to the project (e.g., LOLmagnetz profits going to the SF SPCA). About a month ago, we launched a new shirt: Spoiler Alert. If you don't watch Battlestar Galactica, its coolness will be lost on you, but if you like preserving your online freedom, stick around for another sentence. Then go buy the DVD box sets and catch up. The breadpig is partnering with the EFF and thus giving them all the profits of this...
LOLmagnetz.com Relaunched With Even More Win

Supreme breadpig developer, Chris Slowe, just pushed an updated version of LOLmagnetz.com online. A number of minor bugs were squashed and the UI improved significantly. Traffic continues to grow and LOLmagnetz kits continue to fly off the virtual shelves of ThinkGeek. The holidays are coming up and I know for a fact that there still exist magnetic surfaces sans LOLmangetz. We hoped to present LOLmagnetz at a recent LOL-artshow in SF, but that turned into a public art display persecuted by LOLhaters. More details to come. Alas, the breadpig also missed a YappyHour hosted by the SF SPCA. But there'll...
