Autobots Heart LOLmagnetz
Posted by admin on
LOLmagnetz recently made some more appearances. Bordom.net deigned the kit worthy of combating boredom. That's when you know you've arrived, when you're on a site that's dropped the "e" Flickr-style for maximum Web 2.0-ness. But the coolest appearance to date was on a Transformers forum. No word yet on whether or not it's a favorite of Autobots or Decepticons, but my money is on the former. Or maybe these magnets are the one thing that can bring these two warring groups together at last...
The Breadpig Renaissance (How Many Times Can The Breadpig Be Reborn, Anyway?)
Posted by admin on
After the Internet Superstar appearance, the breadpig band had a nice renaissance. To that point, breadpig salutes all of the new converts and thanks you for all the shirt orders. Spintown showed some love, but I should correct a comment he made: This video was made by one of the creators of Reddit.com. I think it's the only band I'm talented enough to play with. You think it just anybody has the talent to play in breadpig? You've got another thing coming. Between the three of us in the band, we've got a combined 39 years of musical education at...
Breadpig Hath A Nemesis, Its Name Is Moonpig

This turned up in the breadpig snail mailbox recently. I wasn't going to publicize it and let the terrorists win, but Chris (maker of LOLmagnetz.com) persuaded me otherwise. It seemed innocuous enough, except for those threatening ellipses in the turn address field... And the "supposedly" (wtf?). Inside was a greeting card. I didn't care for the way that ominous black cat and LOLcaption were staring at me. Ah-ha! It's Moonpig! Breadpig's arch nemesis. If you're reading this, Moonpig (and I know you are, for your all-seeing disembodied-head-in-space-helmet/ship is paying close attention to our hero) consider your challenge accepted. The breadpig...
Breadpig Officially An Internet Superstar
Posted by admin on
Breadpig was invited to bring some LOLmagnetz and a shirt to and interview on Internet Superstar, hosted by Martin Sargent. +10 points if you noticed the shirt I was furtively showing off Both breadpig and the SF-SPCA (our partners in LOL) got some nice plugs and Martin was a gentleman and a scholar. I think we might see each other again over drinks and with candlelight. And to top it off, LOLmagnetz got a nice shoutout on Gigababy's Buffet. No, we at breadpig hadn't heard of it either, but that's OK. That sounds like a very big baby, which implies...
Laughing Squid A Trendsetter Of The LOLz

Scott Beale of chuckling cephalopod fame and avowed breadpig ally, wrote a lovely piece on LOLmagnetz -- with pictures! In fact, Scott was the first person ever in the history of the world to document magnetic LOL poetry in the wild. Thus, he has a special place in the breadpig's heart. He's evidently what online marketers would call a "tastemaker." As the next 24 hours revealed some lovely linklove and even a Tweet-out. Is that a word? (Think shoutout, but on Twitter). But by far the most thorough LOLmagnetz reviewer was Heartless Doll's Bonnie Ruberg (I don't think you or...
